Wedowee Middle School is a GREAT PLACE!

I am so excited about all of the great things going on here at Wedowee Middle School!  In the past 6 years, we have remodeled our lunchroom, remodeled our offices, built a new elementary school, we have painted the halls, installed new tile floors, painted the gym, rebuilt the front steps, installed a new security system, built a new website, and improved our test scores.  This school is on the move!  We were accepted as an AMSTI school for the 2008-2009 school year.  We have the best students, parents, and teachers anywhere!

Mr. Robertson is a graduate of the University of Montevallo with a B.S. in Social Science and Business, a M.Ed. in Secondary Education, and an Administrative Certification.  He taught at Selma High School, Shelby County High School, and at Woodland High School.  He was Student Choice Teacher of the Year at Shelby County High School in 2001-2002, and he was the faculty choice for Teacher of the Year in 2002-2003.  He has coached Scholars Bowl, been a Student Council Sponsor, and worked with numerous Drum Lines.  He has been an educator for 16 years.

He is married to Jennifer Messer Robertson and currently resides in the Wedowee area. Allan and Jennifer have a daughter named Caro who is two going on ten.  He and Jennifer have a miniature Dachshund puppy named Lou.  His hobbies are percussion, working in the yard, and traveling.
